About Us
Introduction
Nurses for Medicare is a grassroots initiative to engage nurses in advocating for the sustainability of the Canadian health system.
Our goal:
Our goal is to promote publicly funded, not-for-profit health care in Canada. We believe this is true patient advocacy. We are seeking:
- a moratorium on for-profit expansion of the health system,
- expansion of publicly funded, not-for-profit care (e.g., pharmacare, home care), and
- enforcement of the Canada Health Act.
